What to pack for a Rinjani trek

We carry the camp. You carry the warmth, the light, and the boots that already fit your feet.

What we bring

Tent, toilet tent, mattress, sleeping bag, and all cooking equipment come with the trip, along with three meals a day and fresh fruit on the trail. Licensed guides and porters, the national park entrance ticket, and trekking insurance are included too.

That is the camp handled. What is left on your list is the gear that has to fit you personally.

What you bring

A warm jacket and a windproof layer. Gloves and a hat. A headlamp with spare batteries. Broken-in trekking boots. A lightweight rain jacket. A water bottle and any personal medication.

Boots are the one item worth getting right in advance. New boots on a 14 km descent is how a good trip becomes a painful one.

Worth knowing about the headlamp

On the Standard package the headlamp is yours to bring. The Deluxe package includes one, along with a premium tent and sleeping bag, senior guides, and a camp table and chairs.

You will use it. The summit push leaves camp at 04:00, in the dark, on uneven ground.
